AI Tutorial
While working with web data, we keep facing the challenge of extracting structured information from dynamic, modern websites. Traditional scraping methods often break when coming across JavaScript-heavy interfaces, login requirements, and interactive elements - leading to brittle solutions that require constant maintenance.
In this tutorial, we're building an AI Startup Insight Agent application that uses Firecrawl's FIRE-1 agent for robust web extraction. FIRE-1 is an AI agent that can autonomously perform browser actions - clicking buttons, filling forms, navigating pagination, and interacting with dynamic content - while understanding the semantic context of what it's extracting.
We'll combine this with OpenAI's GPT-4o to create a complete pipeline from data extraction to analysis in a clean Streamlit interface. We’ll use Agno framework to build our AI startup insight agent.
We share hands-on tutorials like this every week, designed to help you stay ahead in the world of AI. If you're serious about leveling up your AI skills and staying ahead of the curve, subscribe now and be the first to access our latest tutorials.
Latest Developments
Augment Code has released Remote Agent, a cloud-based AI dev agent that allows you to parallelize development tasks across multiple secure containers. Each Remote Agent has context of your entire codebase, integrates deeply with the IDE, and has complete toolchain access. These agents continue working even when your laptop is closed.
You can spin up to 10 agents at once to handle small tickets, code reviews, tests, docs, and refactors—all in parallel. Think of them as a team of interns you can steer and review directly from your IDE. Available in VS Code.
Key Highlights:
Independent Execution - Each agent operates in its own secure cloud container that mirrors your development environment. They keep working on assigned tasks even when you disconnect, making them perfect for handling those "we'll-get-to-it-someday" tickets that never make it to sprint planning.
Task Delegation - Assign agents to fix flaky tests, update documentation, refactor legacy code, or explore different solution paths in parallel. They can handle Linear tickets, respond to code reviews, and apply changes directly to your local environment.
Lead Experience - You function as the tech lead for your AI team, giving them well-scoped assignments and reviewing their work before committing. Each agent's workspace remains fully accessible, allowing you to jump in and guide them when necessary.
Focus Optimization - Eliminate engineering toil by offloading maintenance tasks like raising test coverage, bulk-migrating configs, or tackling minor bugs. Remote Agents handle the grunt work while you concentrate on complex problems and strategic planning.

HoneyBook is how independent businesses attract leads, manage clients, book meetings, sign contracts, and get paid.
Plus, HoneyBook’s AI tools summarize project details, generate email drafts, take meeting notes, predict high-value leads, and more.
Think of HoneyBook as your behind-the-scenes business partner—here to handle the admin work you need to do, so you can focus on the creative work you want to do.
Zed just released a completely open-source and super-fast AI code editor built entirely in Rust. This editor comes with an Agent Panel where the agent can edit code, answer questions, run local terminal commands, and interact with your tools; no indexing or setup needed. It supports popular models like Claude 3.7 and Gemini 2.5, or lets you plug in your own via API keys or local Ollama setup.
The agent can run in the background while you work on something else, and notifies you when it's done so you can review changes in an editable diff view.
Key Highlights:
Open-Source - Unlike most AI coding tools, Zed is completely open-source under GPL v3, including all AI features. You can see exactly how the Agent Panel works under the hood and even modify it to suit your needs. The entire editor is scratch-built in Rust down to the GPU shaders.
Models and Tools - Choose from multiple LLMs including Claude 3.7 Sonnet and Gemini 2.5, or run local models through Ollama. The agent can run linters, formatters, terminal commands, and integrate with external tools like databases or PR creation via Model Context Protocol.
Privacy-First - Your conversations with the agent are private by default - Zed doesn't harvest your data for training or any other purpose. The agent asks for confirmation before running potentially irreversible actions, and you control exactly which tools it has access to through customizable permission profiles.
Pricing Options - Use Zed's non-AI features for free, or choose how you want to pay for AI: bring your own API keys, run models locally with Ollama, or subscribe to Zed's plans (free tier with 50 prompts/month or Pro at $20/month for 500 prompts).
Quick Bites
Mistral AI dropped Mistral Medium 3, a new multimodal model designed for enterprise-grade performance at a fraction of the cost. It matches or beats Claude Sonnet 3.7 in benchmarks while being 8x cheaper, and stands out in coding, multimodal tasks, and STEM tasks. The model is already available on Mistral’s platform and Amazon Sagemaker, with support for more clouds coming soon.
Offers 90% + of Claude Sonnet 3.7’s performance at much lower cost: $0.40/M tokens (input), $2/M tokens (output). Also outperforms Llama 4 Maverick and Cohere Command R+.
Can be continuously pretrained, fully fine-tuned, and blended into enterprise knowledge bases for domain-specific enterprise use cases.
Can run on self-hosted environments with just 4 GPUs, and will soon be available across IBM WatsonX, Azure AI Foundry, Google Cloud, and more.
Mistral has also released Le Chat Enterprise, a secure, all-in-one AI assistant platform built on the new Mistral Medium 3 model. It brings together enterprise search, agent builders, private deployments, and tool integrations to solve real issues like data silos, scattered tools, and inflexible AI systems.
Sarvam AI has released Bulbul V2, a production-ready TTS model for India. It supports 11 Indian languages with natural, expressive Indian accent, and offers real-time synthesis, pitch/pace/loudness control, and code-mixed input handling. Bulbul V2 is fast, affordable (especially vs. ElevenLabs), and even lets you train on your own voice. Ideal for developers building voice-first products for the Indian market.
Hugging Face has launched a free, cloud-hosted agent called Open Computer Agent, built using its own smolagents library, powered by the Qwen2VL 72B model, and uses an E2B Desktop virtual machine. The agent can interact with apps like Firefox to perform simple tasks on your behalf, like browsing Google Maps or opening files, from natural language prompts. While it handles basic actions decently, it struggles with complex workflows and often hits CAPTCHA walls. Expect a queue depending on demand. Consider it a project to understand the sophistication of current open-source vision models and how to build upon them.
Microsoft is adopting Google’s Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol to support secure, cross-platform collaboration between AI agents. A2A support is coming soon to Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio, allowing agents to talk to each other, even across clouds and vendors, using open standards. This will enable developers to use tools they know, like Semantic Kernel or LangChain, and still interoperate.

Hot Takes
Cursor/windsurf is just the beginning of the App Layer. There will be a vertical product for every market. Pick a big market you love and get going. The tailwinds of AI will solve all seemingly impossible problems of today, tomorrow. ~
SuhailWindsurf bought for $3B at ~$40M ARR (75x) by OpenAI.
Cursor raised at $9B at ~$300M ARR (30x).
GitHub was bought for $7.5B at ~$300M ARR (25x) by Microsoft, 2018.
Shocking Google hasn't done anything here yet given how good Gemini 2.5 Pro is.
Not unlikely that they buy Cursor. ~
