For businesses looking to stay competitive, understanding the competition is crucial. But manually gathering and analyzing competitor data is time-consuming and often yields incomplete insights. What if we could automate this process using AI agents that work together to deliver comprehensive competitive intelligence?

In this tutorial, we have built a multi-agent competitor analysis team that automatically discovers competitors, extracts structured data from their websites, and generates actionable insights. You'll create a team of specialized AI agents that work together to deliver detailed competitor analysis reports with market opportunities and strategic recommendations.

This system combines web crawling, data extraction, and AI analysis to transform raw competitor website data into structured insights. Using a team of coordinated AI agents, each specializing in different aspects of competitive analysis.

We share hands-on tutorials like this every week, designed to help you stay ahead in the world of AI. If you're serious about leveling up your AI skills and staying ahead of the curve, subscribe now and be the first to access our latest tutorials.

Latest Developments

China's latest AI export might be more powerful than anything coming out of Silicon Valley right now.

Baidu just open-sourced their entire ERNIE 4.5 model family - 10 variants ranging from a compact 0.3B model to a massive 424B parameter multimodal system that outperforms much larger models like OpenAI o1.

All models are available under Apache 2.0 license, giving developers unrestricted access to state-of-the-art AI capabilities. The release includes everything from lightweight edge-deployable models to frontier-class systems that excel at both text and vision tasks.

Key Highlights:

  1. Benchmark Superiority - The flagship ERNIE-4.5-300B-A47B beats DeepSeek-V3-671B on 22 out of 28 benchmarks, while the compact 21B model matches 30B-class performance with 30% fewer parameters.

  2. Heterogeneous MoE Architecture - Features a novel mixture-of-experts design that processes text and vision simultaneously without performance degradation, achieving 47% Model FLOPs Utilization during training.

  3. Dual Inference Modes - Multimodal variants support both fast "non-thinking" and analytical "thinking" modes, with thinking mode delivering superior performance on complex reasoning benchmarks like MathVista and MMMU.

Microsoft just cracked open the vault on GitHub Copilot Chat, making the entire extension opensource under MIT license.

This is the first step in their plan to make VS Code a completely opensource AI editor - you can now examine the actual prompts sent to LLMs, understand context handling, and see exactly how the AI assistant processes your code.

The original inline completion extension stays closed source for now, but Microsoft plans to eventually move that functionality into the opensource chat extension. Everything from system prompts to telemetry collection is now visible in the GitHub repository.

Key Highlights:

  1. Full transparency - Everything from system prompts to implementation details and telemetry collection is now visible in the GitHub repository, giving developers complete insight into how AI coding assistance actually functions.

  2. Agent mode insights - You can now explore exactly how Copilot's autonomous coding sessions work, including how it handles multi-step tasks, error correction, and iterative improvements.

  3. Phased opensourcing - While inline completions remain closed source temporarily, Microsoft plans to migrate that functionality to the opensource chat extension in coming months.

  4. Contribute - Microsoft is encouraging pull requests and issue reports, with plans to integrate community feedback directly into the VS Code core codebase.

Running parallel agents in the background already 10x’d your productivity, but only if you were glued to your desktop.

These coding agents just escaped the desktop prison.

Cursor Agents now run on web and mobile, letting you spin up background tasks from anywhere - your phone, browser, or that random coffee shop WiFi. Just type what you need built, and the agent gets to work on your actual codebase while you're doing literally anything else. When you're back at your desk, review the changes in your editor, merge PRs directly from the web, or fire up multiple agents with different models to see who builds it better.

Key Highlights:

  1. Code anywhere, anytime - Launch agents from any browser or mobile device to work on real coding tasks while you're away from your main setup.

  2. Background task execution - Agents make actual changes to your codebase, open PRs, and handle complex implementation work without you babysitting the process.

  3. Seamless desktop handoff - Pick up where web agents left off directly in your Cursor IDE for review, refinement, or additional inline edits.

  4. Parallel agent testing - Run the same task across multiple AI models simultaneously to compare results and pick the best implementation approach.

Quick Bites

Everyone's chasing agentic AI, but Gartner drops a sobering prediction: 40% of these ambitious projects won't survive past 2027. The culprits behind this mass cancellation wave include spiraling costs, murky business value, and inadequate risk management as organizations discover that moving from proof-of-concept to production at scale is far more complex than anticipated.

Only about 130 of the thousands of vendors claiming agentic capabilities are actually delivering real agent functionality, with most engaging in "agent washing" by rebranding existing chatbots and automation tools.

Google is making Excel obsolete with one simple function in Sheets that puts AI directly into any cell. Their new AI function lets you drop prompts directly into cells to generate personalized text, categorize feedback, or summarize data across hundreds of rows instantly. For eg, =AI("Write personalized emails for each customer based on their purchase history", A2:D2)

Tools of the Trade
